The American-style 200A elbow connector is engineered for use in 200A electrical systems and is commonly employed in high-voltage power connections for equipment such as American-style pad-mounted transformers, ring main units (RMUs), cable distribution cabinets, underground transformers, and related electronic devices. It is compatible with components including single-way and double-way bushings, 200A busbar interfaces, and 200A interfaces designed for American T2 connectors, among others.

The conducting rod connector is equipped with arc-extinguishing capability, allowing it to function as a load switch to interrupt currents up to 200A. However, it cannot trip fault currents.
