Mated with deadbreak bushing or junction, deadbreak series connector is an affliated branch of separable connectors. Before installation or uninstallation, a power outage is required for screwing the bolts. Comparing with loadbreak series, deadbreak series are safer in general for the de-energized circuits.

Connection and protection for other electrical equipments with IEEE 386 Deadbreak Figure 11, 13.
Elbow connectors are used to connect the cable and the electrical equipments. No extension can be made.
Tee Connectors are also used for connection like elbow connectors. But they allow rear connectors to connect behind it, giving more opportunity for extension.
Caps are needed when there are yet no rear connectors are connected to the Tee connectors to protect against dust.
Plug are used to connect and insulate the Tee connectors meating the requirements of IEEE 286, Figure 11.
